Massage Therapy

Massage therapy is a form of soft tissue mobilisation with hands. It involves kneading, pressing, rubbing, stroking or squeezing in a systematic or specific way.

The massage can be applied with varying degree of pressure. A deep or light massage pressure is applied on your body depending on the purpose of the massage which is determined by the therapist after your physical assessment.

Massage therapy is particularly useful for the purpose of relieving:

  • pain

  • tight muscles

  • tight scar tissues

  • swelling

  • tender points

Additional beneficial effects are improvement of blood and lymph (colorless  fluid) flow.

Massage therapy is often used as a combination with other therapies.
