Giddiness and the Vestibular system

The vestibular system refers to the inner ear apparatus of the body. A disorder in the vestibular system can often result in:

  •  giddiness

  • vertigo

  • light-headedness

  • nausea

  • vomiting

  • motion sensitivity

  • imbalance

  • difficulty with walking

Some common vestibular disorders are :

  • BPPV (Benign Paroxysmal Positional Vertigo)
  • Vestibular Neuritis
